Two different products

This page covers the FlashMD marketing website and the FlashMD macOS application. They are separate: visiting this site is not the same as running the app.

The FlashMD app

The FlashMD application is local-first and offline. After download, it makes no network connections. It does not send your documents to the cloud, does not require an account, and doesnot collect telemetry, analytics, or crash reports. Your Markdown files stay on disk where you put them.

This website

The site is a static marketing and download page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run user accounts, waitlists that store email on our servers, or third-party advertising pixels.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not use client-side state such as cookies or localStorage for tracking. It provides aggregate metrics (for example page views, referrers, countries, and browsers). It is not used for advertising.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, session-replay tools, or other third-party trackers on this site.

What we do not collect on the site

• Email addresses or account sign-ups
• Document contents (the site never sees your files)
• Advertising identifiers

Downloads

The Download button fetches the notarized FlashMD installer from our public download URL. The download host may log standard request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) under its own policies when you fetch the DMG.
